Montana Bird Fair
Jacob and his 5th grade class presented their bird at the Montana Bird Fair at school yesterday. He did a great job presenting his bird, the Great Blue Heron. All the kids from the school as well as parents and grandparents came through and listened to their little presentations. Great job, Jacob.

May Day!
What better way to start off the decline of Spring and the ascension of Summer than with a new pair of pink polka-dot shoes and a pink skirt??? I'd say there's no better way.
The white shirt and purple polka-dot pants were a gift from Grandma Joan.
Cute girl.

Christie's Big Birthday Celebration
We had the best weekend ever celebrating Christiana's 3rd birthday. I can't believe my little Rocket Baby, born 13 minutes after arrival at the hospital, is now so old and big. But she is the most delightful child you've ever met. Sweet and obedient and kind.
Grandma Rosie and Uncle Marty and Aunt Stancy visited from Rexburg for the weekend to help us celebrate and enjoy our gorgeous weather -- ha ha ha NOT! But we had a good time nonetheless, ya'll.
Christie got a new kitchen, a tea set, Kermit the Frog dolly, and some play food for her kitchen. Her Aunt Amy sent her the most darling jammies and candy and a matching game. Jason's medical assistant, Linda, came to the party as well and brought Christie two outfits and a Minnie Mouse toy.
Christie wanted a Mickey Mouse cake so I had Walmart take that side of things. It turned out so good! I was surprised at how cute it turned out. And the cake is actually really tasty and I have been helping myself to huge portions.
Anyway, a great celebration and lots of fun for everyone.
Happy Birthday, Angel Baby Cookie Pie!

New Puppy
Well, he's not really a puppy. He's 2 1/2 already. But he's so tiny that he feels like a puppy. We named him Scout and he's a full-breed Yorkie. I can't get a decent picture of the dude because he's so wiggly all the time. By the time I snap the picture, he's somewhere else completely.
Friends of ours couldn't keep him anymore and we had been looking for some time for a dog that was already house-trained and non-psycho. And Scout fits the bill perfectly. (His original name was Bruce but we wanted to change it.) He scratches the back door when he wants to go out and he has never barked once. Dream come true because, seriously, a dog that barks all the time makes me craaaaazy.
The kids are over-the-moon for him. Constantly holding him and playing with him. He's just a little sweetheart. We're happy to have him.

Preschool Day
Today we went to Christiana's new preschool to see her classroom and meet a few teachers. I'm going to enroll her for the fall but wanted her to get used to the school as much as possible before I abandon her there.
She wanted to wear her kitty-cat backpack. She was so cute in her little skinny jeans and purple Bog boots and pigtails. What a sweetie pie. I will miss her while she's at school next year. (Just in the morning!)

You Want Easter Pics?
We had the most fun this weekend. Where do I begin? Friday we saw "The Croods" and the kids loved it. I gleaned a gospel message from the whole thing, which I will gladly share in another post. I always do that, don't I?
Saturday we joined a bunch of families at a friend's house/farm for an Easter egg hunt and potluck. The kids were in heaven -- we all were! It was so fun to be on a farm for an afternoon. The horses, cows, bonfire, open space, etc.
Jimmy played kickball with a bunch of kids and scored!
The egg hunt was through a forest-y area on the property. Some of the eggs had money in them as well as candy so the kids were freaking out.
The boys were seriously concentrating. Christie and I were just trying to avoid horse poo.
EASTER SUNDAY:
This whole weekend will be a wonderful memory for me. I love my little family so much.
